Join Penelope Collis for a hands-on workshop where you'll discover the art of making big ol' pots without the need for a pottery wheel. You'll dive into techniques like finger pot and coil methods, which aren't nearly as complicated as they sound. Each participant will get 5kg of clay to play with, which you can decide to return at the end of the session, or keep if you've created a masterpiece worthy of a display (or a spot in the garden). Just remember to bring along an apron so you don't leave looking like the clay monster yourself, and don't forget your rolling pin, flat wooden spatula, and some sketching materials to jot down those dazzling ideas.

The event is set for a pleasant Saturday afternoon, 22 February 2025, from 1pm to 3pm at the Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah. It'll be a great time to unleash your inner artisan while enjoying a few laughs along the way.
