Come on down and dive into the captivating tale of the James Service shipwreck while getting your hands all woodsy with a DIY wooden sailing ship project. You'll be doing a bit of everything—sanding, hammering, gluing, cutting, and painting—so come prepared to unleash your inner shipwright. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to give their ship a fun name with our funky paint pens? Get artsy and make it a masterpiece worthy of sailing the high seas (or at least your bathtub).

This crafty event is perfect for the pint-sized sailors aged five to twelve. And did we mention it's free? Yep, that's right, but make sure to book your spot ahead of time before someone else snags your shipbuilding seat. Mark your calendars for sessions on that lovely Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from April 15 to 17 and again from April 22 to 24, 2025, all happening at the Mandurah Museum.
