Join us for Adventures in Art, a workshop series where kids aged 5 to 15 can unleash their inner Picassos and maybe even a Dali or two. Guided by the talented local artists Sarah Petrich and Candice Sawyer, these sessions promise a delightful mix of fun, creativity, and the chance to test the limits of imaginative chaos. It's like art class, but with fewer rules and much more glitter.

In Workshop 3, titled Raffia Play, kids will dive into the world of raffia—yes, that stuff—learning how to twist, weave, and braid it into cool decorations or funky hangings. Who knows, you might just end up with a masterpiece worthy of hanging in the Louvre (or at least the fridge). The workshop costs a mere $7 per person, but do remember to cough up that fee within three days of booking your spot on Eventbrite, as it's non-refundable and we're not starting a charity here. The fun kicks off on Saturday, 31 May 2025, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Lakelands Library and Community Centre—ready, set, rafia!
